We thought you’d like to take a quick behind-the-scenes look at the process of sculpting the leather eyelids around the glass eyes which appear on the cover of our Lettered edition of Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin.
Master bookbinder Peter Geraty spends hours hand sculpting each eyelid for this edition. The covers are made by hand by the same bookbinder who created the Lettered edition of Misery by Stephen King!
Once the covers are done, they will move onto the next phase to complete the binding of the book block.

Very Very cool and what looks like a lot of work. The lettered is just spectacular.

Is there any chance that the lids will close over time?

A stunning looking edition – missed this one so wondered if you had a list of people on reserve, just in case of unforeseen cancellations? If so, can my name be added? I take the view that if I don’t ask I’ll never know!
Thanks!

Hi Andrew. Thanks for asking! We aren’t keeping a wait list for this book.
