Now that 2019 is coming to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Suntup Editions. Some of you have been here since the inception of the press, and some even before that; and if you have just recently discovered us, welcome aboard!
Suntup Editions was nothing more than a crazy dream back in early 2017. It was built primarily on faith and a desire to produce beautiful editions of the books that we all love.
My gratitude goes out to everyone who rose to the occasion and supported this endeavor with a level of enthusiasm and excitement that I did not anticipate.
In the spirit of the Holiday season, and as a way for me to express my gratitude and to give something back to you, I am offering everyone who supported the press a very special gift.
Several months ago, we published an edition of The Road by Cormac McCarthy. The novel closes with one of the most beautiful and expertly crafted paragraphs of poetic prose that I have ever read. I wanted to spotlight those lines in some way, so I am making a broadside of that closing paragraph and I am giving it to you as a gift.
The broadside will measure 8” x 10” and will be printed letterpress on Gutenberg Laid imported moldmade paper. The print will include a reproduction of a woodcut and the text will be handset in metal foundry type.
This will be a truly beautiful collector piece. These are not being sold, and will only be available as a free gift to customers of Suntup Editions for a limited time.
