Harper Lee

Harper Lee was born on April 28, 1926, in Monroeville, Alabama. She is best known for her novel To Kill a Mockingbird, published in 1960, which has become a classic of modern American literature. Her second novel, Go Set a Watchman, became a #1 New York Times bestseller when it was published in July 2015. Ms. Lee received the Pulitzer Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and numerous other literary awards and honors. She died on February 19, 2016.
